Overview:

The Dance Movement (TDM) accepts dancers year round! We offer classes from ages 2-19 years old to dancers of any experience level. At TDM we offer classes for any level of seriousness in our recreational and competitive programs, and auditions for the competitive teams are held each summer. Our staff has current experience with school cheer and dance teams at the primary, secondary and collegiate levels!

We offer classes in Ballet, Pre- Pointe, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acro, Tumbling, Turns and Leaps, Conditioning, Flexibility, Technique and more! We offer both group and private class options!

Background:

The Dance Movement (TDM) was founded in 2021 after Ms. Caitlyn’s previous studio of employment closed. Knowing that those dancers would not have a home and her lifelong dreams to own a studio one day convinced her to open TDM. When founding The Dance Movement, Ms. Caitlyn wanted to give dancers a home away from home, a safe place, and a place to explore their greatest dance ambitions! Caitlyn and her teachers aim to make TDM a place where all dancers are welcome no matter if you are new to dance or wishing to pursue a different place to perfect your art.

Vision:

At TDM we welcome diversity of all kinds especially in our curriculum and we want to give dancers the opportunity to train in all styles that the dance world offers, all while putting a large emphasis on our technical skills. That also means that we encourage camaraderie between other studios! They say “it takes a village to raise a child” and we believe that studios can come together and teach the dancers of the future that we are not here to do better than one another, we are here to be better than ourselves!
